Press Enterprise: San Jacinto's Kotyuk to chair Metrolink board

San Jacinto City Councilman Andrew Kotyuk has been elected chairman of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority Board of Directors – the governing body of Metrolink. Kotyuk represents the Riverside County Transportation Commission.

Ventura County Transportation Commission representative Brian Humphrey was elected first vice chair, while Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority representative Ara Najarian was chosen second vice chair. The officers will serve one-year terms, but may serve a two-year term if re-elected in 2018.

Kotyuk replaces Orange County Board Supervisor Shawn Nelson, who served as the Metrolink Board chair since January 2015.

Metrolink operates seven routes through a six-county, 536 route-mile network.
